Westlake MUD 1 – Capital Improvement Update

Westlake Municipal Utility District No. 1 (Westlake MUD 1) residents who participated in the last bond election have been awaiting some of the project benchmarks we outlined in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The Board of Directors for Westlake MUD 1 would like to provide a status update, as outlined below by the District Engineer, BGE Inc.

The Bond Authorization CIP included:

1. Televising and Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewers
   1. Televising has been completed
   2. Rehabilitation is in design and expected to start construction by end of 2022
2. Replacement of Generator at the Water Plant
   1. This item is under construction/in progress
3. New Chlorine Building at Water Plant
   1. This item is under construction/in progress
4. Bathroom at Wastewater Treatment Plant
   1. in design, potential to start construction by Q1 2023
5. Rehab of Ground Storage Tank 2 at Water Plant
   1. This item is under construction/in progress
6. Water Line Replacement
   1. in design and expected to start construction by end of 2022
7. Water Line Valve Replacement
   1. in design and expected to start construction by end of 2022
