During the week of October 5-10, 2020, the Board of Directors of Westlake Municipal Utility District No. 1 brought a unique way to celebrate National Night Out to residents of the District.

At the request of the Board members, and with contributions by Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, Inframark, and CiCi’s Pizza, gift bags were filled with Westlake MUD 1 cups, Westlake MUD 1 Security Coordinator business cards, free pizza coupons, Fire Safety coloring book packets, and a variety of kids giveaways, collapsible frisbees, HCSO cups, HCSO- and Inframark-branded hand sanitizer, safety info and more. These bags were taken to the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department Saums Rd. Station and offered to residents living inside the boundaries of Westlake MUD 1. Throughout the week approximately 300 residents stopped into the Westlake Volunteer Fire Station to collect their free goodie bag.

National Night Out is an annual event geared toward raising community awareness and familiarity with the first responders who serve communities around the U.S. As Westlake MUD 1 cares about its residents, the Board of Directors collaborated with the first responders in the District to honor National Night Out 2020.

Westlake MUD 1 is always looking for ways to engage with residents in the community they live in and care about. Remember to visit the District website regularly, or sign up for email alerts, to be informed about future events and community engagement opportunities.
